When I heard that the Adult Content Forum Transcript was up on the SL Wiki, I rushed over to see it, to check over what was going on. In some ways, I wish I didn’t, as it ended up just making me annoyed. I don’t really mind the new Amsterdam policy. It sounds like a decent way to be more assured that minors aren’t accessing adults content, and to keep those who don’t want to see violence and sex from having to worry about running across it.
What makes me angry is how Linden Lab is being about the potential of a Grid Merge. Read the rest of this entry »

While browsing Google for TG-related news, I happened across an article I had read several times before. It’s a rather good article, posted by an Approved Adult on the Teen Grid, though it is a little old (about one year). In the article, Moo Money attends a meeting about the state of the Teen Grid, held by Alex Harbinger, a GK Intern. One of the teens in attendance raised the point that they thought teens were too trusting to be allowed to mingle with adults, even after the adults had a background check. This really astounded me. My mother always told me that people who are mature are the ones that are going to worry about something. She said that when she had just gotten engaged to my father, she spent the night worrying that she wasn’t mature enough for it, that she wasn’t ready to be able to handle the responsibility of being married, before she realized that because she was worrying, it meant she was mature and ready for it.
